I wish I'd though of that earlier, before wedging set squares, and prop shaft in, good shout !

Cut the bearing races into 3 equalish parts with a cutting disk, use different width bearings and you will have a selection.

If you use them in the lathe chuck wrap some tape around them to so they don't fly out.

Good job there. They are 20£ each new and will serve you well until you get bored turning that drawbar and get an ER collet chuck instead.

When you got that slit saw holder and the face/Shell mill holder theres nothin stopping you and the madness can begin

Right, update.

Well basically, the four post lift has bought this milling adventure to a standstill.

Hoping to finish the four post tomorrow.

Then get back to playing with the mill.

In the meantime I've amassed a suitably interesting quantity of bits to amuse myself with.

So...

3/4" and 6 mm collets ordered this evening.

3/4" for the hogger set from Chronos, thought I had one, but didnt.

6mm collet ordered over here, bit more expensive, but hey, Chronos don't have 6mm and I've a load of milling bits.
