Gas Arc stuff is pretty good and reasonable too. Victor do some good ones also at good prices. They are not expensive things especially in single stage. If you want to go one better get a two stage reg and that will save you gas also. Jim davey does gas arc stuff worth a pm and I'm not sure what Steve at weldequip does some so also worth trying to make contact. I have a elga multistage and it's very good.
Wow nice one. That's the same as mine. You will save on gas been a multistage but more importantly you will get consistent perfect gas regulation and flow which is key to success with Tig welding. Do you use gas lenses because they again help further with saving money and produce better coverage over the weld. They are very cheap to buy.Cheers dude went with the Elga optimater reg should save me some money in the long run
Throw it away. There is a reason they chuck em in for free. Spend a few quid and get a decent one. People tend to forget that accurate gas flow improves weld quality more so than a posh machine. People are happy to blow a grand on a machine then make do with shoddy regs. Good gas flow makes all the difference to the quality of your welding.
