R tech p50hf plasma cutter

does anybody know or have a rtech p50hf plasma cutter as you could see in my profile I'm young but have loads of experience arc welding and mig welding grew up around it .anyways are the plasma cutters any good .every reply is highly appreciated and helpful much thanks Andy the fixer

plenty on here speak highly of the rtech models and there is some that use the cheapo cut50 plasma cutter those that do have them like them alot

Doubleboost has one and his review is on YouTube and the r-tech web site.

I took the plunge and ordered one about 4 weeks ago, wouldn't go back to a gas axe now. Just take your time and get use to using it.

also bought a cut 50 as well just had to get air compresser for it as well so plasma isnt the only thing that you have to buy

ive already tested mine and it worked really good on 2.5mm steel plate

Having borrowed my cheap cut 40 my father has recently purchased a cheap Cut50P i.e. the version with Pilot Arc for £208 delivered from the UK and he is really pleased with it. Having looked around, the view in the end was that there is a risk of poor (or non-existent) after sales but you can buy 3 of them and still be cheaper than the R-Tech which is after all just a Chinese machine albeit backed up with a gook UK warranty. The only annoying bit is the power lead (cutter to power socket) is only about 2 ft long and so you may also want an extension cable.

The cut50p will happily slice through 1/2 inch (thickest stuff around we had to test it on). Once you get them set up properly (correct current and airflow) they are great tools to cut out whatever shapes you want with very little effort
