im after a new tig plant ac/dc ive been offered the r tech 210 digital welder or a thermal arc 202 both are ac/dc does anyone have either of these machines?

Yes I have an Rtech tig and an R-tech mig and cant fault either. More to the point the extendable warranty, that includes both collect and return shipping and the repair and parts is worth its weight in Gold as peace of mind if nothing else.

i have spoken to an e supplier of both brands and he told me they backed out of selling r tech products as they received too many problems with them although as you say he did say the backup on their machines was also outstanding ,

I've got a thermal arc 250 ac/dc machine. It's behaved flawlessly. Most impressed with it

Lol Yeah I guess he would say that. My guess is that he could not make enough on them as R-Tech sell them online them selves direct.

Its happening a lot now. RC for example distributors selling direct as there is no profit in kits and shops dont want to tie up 400 quid . BUT obviously the shops need a good trade price to make money...but as I said no profit on kits. so its a swings and roundabouts situation.

Anyway all I can say is I have two of their machines a 201 Tig and 250 pro mig and they have never missed a beat.
