I'm also very pro the paton I've used my 250 machine for a long time and it's held up beautifully hasn't missed a beat I've used the 3 phase besters in my time and it's a simple machine it works I've yet to have funds to try out any machine to give it a review but the paton hasn't let me down yet and @Tom Orrow L has some good prices for the paton machines
I think I may go for the Paton PSI 250 over the rtech simply because the Paton has tig where as the rtech does not. It’s a bit more money but I can push my budget. I cannot see myself using the aluminium spool gun on the rtech but the tig would come in handy for vehicle work. I take it I need a 32 amp supply for the Paton. Any recommendations for kit with the Paton? You could always go for a Paton PSI 200 and get the winning combination of quality, features (including digital displays for WFS and voltage) and good customer service from a British family run company
