Hi hoping for some help please see pictures I think the blown parts ar gas recovery rectifier diodes and some type of resistor but can not identify them iv spoken to r tech no joy no numbers on diode but stripes on the large resistors two of each have failed due to the fan not working Any help please as my welder is old but has done very little work realy And I do not want to scrap it but need to keep the cost down can repair myself hopfully thanks

You might want to clean that pcb cos that dust may well be conductive (metal) dust !

As there looks (through the dust) to be 4 of thoes diodes then I think you will find they are being used as a bridge rectifier. So all 4 should be the same. If you clean up the others then you should be able to see what one of the "good" ones has marked on it. This will allow ordering of replacements. The same applies to the resistors, the colour rings should be visiable on one of the others. Guessing they are about 5 watt rating but there sizer (diameter) should indicate this. There Ohm value will be determined by the coulour stripes. Once you have the parts you will need to check over the area for possible cause of them failing. Would need better pics before sugesting any places to check/meter. Or it could just be that the fan failing has allowed them to cook !

It would not surprise me that the metal dust on the board either caused the failure or contributed toward it.
Leave it unplugged for a day to discharge the capacitors then blow off as much dust as you can with an airline. Then wash all the boards with carb or brake cleaner or ipa and a small paint brush then dry them with the airline.
