Hi all, has anyone owned / used either the 200a or 250a single phase ac/dc tigs from r-tech? any problems or views on how important having water cooled would be? I've been looking at various machines can anyone give me names of sets with a similar spec and price cheers , Joe.

I have the 200A version at school, and although it's not been used extensively as it would in industry, it seems to be a really nice, well built machine that does exactly what it says on the tin.
My understanding is that R-Tech machines are built in China, but to R-Tech's specs (and that's the important bit!). They have their own R+D dept, that develop the machines based on many years of servicing top end welders,and use a lot of German parts.
R-Tech's customer service is also top notch, the guys that answer the phones actually know what they're on about, and that really goes a long way in my book.
I also took delivery of an R-Tech I-Mig200 this week at school, but haven't had a chance to set it up yet. First impressions are good, the wire feed unit looks like part of the drivetrain of a sherman tank! I'll post a mini review when I get around to testing it this week.
