R-tech 180 mig and discount code?

I’m looking to upgrade from my old crappy Mac tools mig welder.

Fancying the r-tech 180 mig. Is this considered a good choice?

Also I notice on the site there is the option for a discount code. Would anybody happen to have one?

Welcome aboard, Ste And yes, that machine is popular among Members [not the pros as they all have much better outfits for their work]. I have one myself.

Sorry, no code available, but if no-one comes up with anything you could phone R-Tech - they're very helpful and sometimes have ex-demo sets available which would save you a bit of cash.

That’s good to hear! I’ve read good review but also seen some people talking badly about them but got the feeling they were a little brand snobby!

They look good and am also interested by their 3 year warranty!

They had a 3year warranty but extendable to 5 years also.

When I have delt with r tech I have always been happy with both customer service and product.

I had a 250 amp tig and now got a 160 dc tig for the back of the van.
Great little bits of kit and don't doubt the migs are the same.

I believe some members have asked R-Tech if they have any ex=demonstrators or "shop soiled models. and been delighted when a discounted machine arrives looking brand new!!

Every time I see this brand mentioned on the forum nearly every owner of Rtech bought one from their shop soiled range.
Rtech must have the biggest shop in the universe!

Yep but if it gets sales and savings isn't it worth doing one or two every so often.

Richer sounds was also the same with there open box policy. Once it was open to look at was 20%cheaper.

Bought mine as "shop soiled" about 5 years ago and am very happy with it. I also got the stick leads as I often weld thicker stuff. They sent me a Loyal Customer discount code recently - it was SPRING19. Might be worth trying it.

My shop soiled one turned up with a front panel screw missing and a small dent on the case - easily rectified. Was 4-5 years ago now though
