My grand daughter insisted our 17p Aldi lemonade was rubbish and could she please have the £1.29 Shweppes stuff instead, cue months of arguing until I gave in and bought a bottle of Schweppes for her.

For the last 7 months that bottle has been refilled with the Aldi stuff and all going well, I will tell her one day, I just love the ability to have a smug grin as she happily drinks her pop

reminds me of the hand soap test on supershoppers, where they swapped the contents of Molton Brown and Aldi soap bottles and the guy who was lived for Molton Brown products, thought the Aldi product in the Molton Brown bottle was better compared to the Molton Brown product was in the Aldi bottle.

It's all perceived brand quality, Mrs Robo is a "brand tart" whereas I'll eat pretty much anything made by anybody

Regarding the original post, was it basically superglue and bicarb they were flogging? Just guessing, from that image.
