quidco any one use it ? just a heads up

ok ive had a quidco account for years used to spend a bit of time every year doing all my insurance car house etc

over the last few years they seam to become wise to get the price through go compair sites to find the cheapest price then use quidco to go stright to the best insurer and get a bit of extra pay back / get back a bit of there comission

you go direct via quidco the price rizes to take accout of what they got to pay out

eg

go compaire let say axa was the cheapest

£290 for x cheapest deal

go throught qudco to there site and the price goes to £305

yes you get back 30 quid if it tracks (it mostly does)

and they get round it saying exclusive deals to certain sites



NOW what i want to warn people about inactivity on your quidco accout i done a insurance cheak and bought through them tracked quick at 34 quid
goes to my accout and sees 34 quid pending the next day but my account is at zero

trys to find history well hidden but finds it after some time of looking on the history is "dormant user credit"

so now the 150 ish quid i had in there for the last couple years(lets face it you dont realy use it that much after all how meay large insurances do people have to use it every 6 months has been wiped out (so say i now have to contact them and they will reapply the credit im sure there will be some hoops to just through)

so if any one uses it just loging and take out the moneys

ive all ways just used it as a bank account and run it up untill its worth doing the transfer the asked to be put in my bank but now looks like there trying to get you to be acctive in a lot more to keep your hard earned money

for us its a lazy start to the day, but for politicians an lie-in could be a discussion in parliment as you never know who is telling the truth, but politics are beyond the scope of this forum

ive used it for years and got a fair few quid from it , earlier this year everything stopped tracking and i cant see why ,so im done with it

I have used it for years, last year I used Quidco's own insurance comparison for car and home insurance amounting to around £75-80 cash back which were paid after a few months. 2 days ago I used it for my car insurance again, renewal with old company was £191, through Quidco I got it for £187 and they promise £45 cash back from Quidco not the insurance company.
As soon as I build up more than around £10 I click the withdraw button and it goes into my account. It's not meant to be used as a bank.

when it was in its early years i used it quite a bit in the last 4 or 5 years cheaking your home insurance car elect is so quicvk and easy sign in to a couple compaire sites all details are loged from last year and you get qoutes

most of the insurances are wise and after a phonecall to them explaing you can get cheaper they normaly match it or get get some where near and its less hassel to just sign up for another year than going else where

the company i used last year put a hundred quid on top of what i paid last year after a phone call the would not match or come near the online price even when i said if i move i actualy get more cover so i moved the new insurance i got was 65 quid cheaper and got back 34 quid

so i look at that for an hours work i got paid an 100 quid best paid hour rate im ever going to get

I've had an account for years.

They too £29 off me for (out of my cash back) some sort of "premium" subscription that they had swapped me on to (used to be £5 a year).

I mean I know they probably said in one of their emails, but I still felt it was disingenuous.

Money is stacking up in my "top cash back" account instead now.

I used to use it about 15 years ago...but I stopped bothering because of exactly what you described.

Basically the discounts were being taken away due to higher prices!

I hadn't realised Quidco were still going! Bit like "drive the deal"...popular back in the day but now I think most use carwow.

I did use it then moved to top cash back, I forget to use it sometimes but it’s handy.

I found they were all a faff, and have never looked their way again.
