Best compromise for a wheel refurb on my own car.
No stripping. I will break bead and paint them when changing tyres. Quick rub down and a few coats of what? Etch? Not bare ally mind. Just on outside mind. They are original Renault Silver.

etch is only needed for bare metal

red scotch /800 em ..then do you need rattle cans or have your own gun?

go over it with 800, dust the first coat on then more coats till covered. Are you using gloss ot mettalic and clear?

i need to tidy up the alloys on my Renault. The missus likes the kerb

Thanks guys. I have guns and compressor. I will try and get colour match. I have 2k clearcoat that I could blow over my colour?

if you are using metallic you will need clear but i don't bother over a good quality gloss
