i cant realy get excited about using a valve removal toolit takes 17 posts for a simple operation

Remember in the 70,s and 80,s when cars had metal dust caps that had a valve key in the end..![]()
but the wheel need to be on a moving vehicle for those![]()
Only a matter of time.
Forget valve core removal.
Just cut them off with a knife like they do when you take them in for new ones.
Or cut them of with side cutters. pincers or wire cutters.
I've never seen the valve cut before tyre removal,You would normally remove the valve core then take tyre off then cut old valve off from the back of the rim with a Stanley knife.Forget valve core removal.

I reckon that you could remove a valve core quicker than trying to cut it off!

We use them for flat tyre blocking at road traffic collisions. We put chocks under the sills and pull the valves to lower the vehichle onto the blocks.. this destroys the valves though. The vehichle is now stable to work on and no movement or danger to casualty if there is a suspected c spine injury.
