Hi all,
I'm about to weld a fillet / T-joint to join two pieces of 10mm thick mild steel plate. The piece will be galvanised afterwards. I will be welding both sides of the joint, but I am wondering whether I should also weld up the ends (the two 10mm wide ends of the plate, to make it a four sided joint) to 'seal off' the joint entirely, or am I better leaving the ends open for the zinc to work its way in?
Many thanks in advance.
