Quick question about torches

Hi all ever since i picked up my second hand welder there has been a question sitting at the back of my mind about the torch orientation, when my torch is lain out it points to the ceiling which strikes me as odd and causes problems in use like the gas getting cut off cause the hose is twisted, i have attached expertly drawn diagram to illustrate the problem. oh its also a euro torch and its factory fitted.

And before anyone asks, i didn't purchase it from a austrailian

The cables should be flexible enough to twist to how you need it without kinking anything.

Most torches don't sit quite straight upright, even the best ones

I am an Australian and for the life of me I can't workout how that torch will work. Maybe the torch has seen a good sort and hence the result There is some 'blue' there, that's probably where they put the viagra. I know that this comment has been very helpful
