Hi folks,
I don't dabble much in wood but I'm on with a job that has a sapele infill in a garden door, 4 large boards vertically in a steel frame. The customer likes the colour of the wood so wants a clear stain/protective coating, but I'm lost in the choice out there and have only used interior stuff like oils before.
I've sanded to a rough finish with 120 grit on the belt sander as she wants rustic looking but smooth to touch, knocked the corners off with a chamfer bit in the router and I'm now wanting to seal the wood to protect it outdoors. What if anything would you recommend, I've heard good things about osmo products, it does however need to be satin finish not gloss so varnish is out of the game.
Any help, as always much appreciated.
Cheers,
Dan
