1962 Austin Ft is my guess, I just started work in 1961 vaguely remember one at a works next door. Unique front windows in the foot well.

That it did , always remember my dad showing me the one I'm trying to buy, I must've been about 5 or 6 and he called it a thrupenny bit bmc

Yes a threep'ny bit lorry , I worked for a tree surgeon in Halstead Essex who had one....

I used to drive one sometimes, crash gearbox & a 6 cylinder petrol engine, the engine cowling used to get so hot in the summer, you would burn the side of your left foot if you were not careful. The carrying capacity was only just under 2 tons, but fully loaded the brakes could no cope with the cotswold hills & it was very easy to cook them up. I think the petrol version was unusual, this was a 1964 vehicle, but I think most were diesel.

Yes, quite a big barrel too. Think I might have another similar one somewhere that was my Fathers with a different name.
