Every now and again I get the urge to buy a new seat. hating the spending of cash and enjoying the design process I make my own instead.
This is my latest, a Sunday morning special for reading the paper and spitting at my neighbours off the balcony.
2 one inch slabs of marine ply out of a skip glued together, hacked to hell with an arbortech and various sander implements, some box section and 50cm of 10mm stainless bar.
The legs were a lash up to see if the angles work, but I kind of like the industrial look, and they dont need the extra bracing I mght have neded if using lighter stuff.
Next stage is polish and oil it up. The ant face was a happy accident.
Do I paint the legs, rust wax and polish them, remove the oxide and lacquer them?
