quality files

Hi anybody know where I can get good quality files at a fair price? I am after 10" dreadnought curved tooth files in flat or hand and half round? I have a lot of aluminium filing to do. I am nr middlesbrough but dont mind mail order if p&p is fair.

Thanks Hareng. I saw those but not branded and I've had enough of crap tools....Codger, i contacted both these companies but no stock, buck and hickman have ordered me two. I pick them up in the morning. Roebuck 10" dreadnought. One hand and one half round...£32 the pair. Hope theyre ok. Thanks....

One tip an old timer gave me:

When filling softer metals that are likely to stick into the teeth of the file:

Take a clean file ( not loaded with metal ) and rub some blackboard chalk into the teeth.

Then file away!

Later clean the file with a wire brush or file-card ( I think thats the name of a paper/cloth based wire brush type stuff. The "bristles" were about 5mm long?

And another:

Put a spot of yellow paint on one side of the file. Use that side for brass/bronze and the other for ferous metals!

Thanks Will. I have been using chalk... Definately better but still clogging thats why I want to try the dreadnoughts......

dreadnought files are excellent on aluminium, I use them regularly, they can still pick up, but its much less of an issue than with normal ones.
