So I've an act to put together for Glastonbury 2015, and without giving the game away too much ( I'll put a video up once it's been sorted, please don't try to guess)
So what I have is a pair of wheelchair motors with all the controls and batteries but the wheels were tiny about 10-12 in diameter, plenty of torque, putting larger wheels on it (smart car wheels 23"). The drive off the wheels is on a shaft that spins. the hub assembly rotates freely over the drive, and has a clip on the end to lock the inner and outer, this allows you to use as a conventional wheelchair if the batteries go flat,
Made a hub to convert the 5 stud to 3 stud, wheel is good, gear ratio is now changed, and unfortunately not enough torque to get me going up a hill, mind you down hill is scarily fast,
So your mission should you accept it is to work out a way to give more torque and less speed, (batteries and controller can't be changed or altered)
