Hi all
Looking likely that I’ll need to be in the market for a forklift soon. I currently have my neighbour unload for me but he’s retiring and selling the business so this is no longer an option.
His forklift will be up for sale it’s done 300hrs and is electric however the batteries are deteriorating and it needs to be left on charge so I am a bit unsure to go for that.
If that’s not an option what I do I need to look out for any brands to avoid. Should I go for electric, gas, diesel?
It won’t get tonnes of use maybe once a week if that unloading sheet and tube deliveries. Storage is an issue so smaller the capacity the better 2 tonne would be plenty!
There is a local auction place that does get forklifts through I can inspect before but I’m not fully sure what I’m actually looking at.
Ontop of this I will also need to get a forklift licence/test sorted I have driven a few different types in the past so have some limited experience
