Irritatingly, my landrover roof (not attached to the landrover) blew over, and onto a bit of roofrack that put a couple of, pretty neat, punctures in it.
I was pretty upset, but the roof is due for respray anyhow, but i did not want to do that just yet.
Ill go and take some photos in a bit, but what do you think my best plan is?
The holes are about 1" long, by 3mm wide (mixing metric and imperial!) - kind of slots. The roof around them isnt hugely dented.
I could just fill them, but my concern is that the inside face of the roof will then have sharp bits (which will be under the headlining, but still)
If i try and beat them back, i know im going to make a mess of the surrounding area (ie dent out a large area)
Should i grind off the sharp bit off the back, 'glue' on some sort of mesh, and then fill?
...i think i need to go and get some photos.
