Are these being replaced for aesthetic reasons, ie the dings? If so, I would weld them up and re-machine the flanges.

Yeah they are ally. No massive rush as I am off work now for a week and the balancing machine is being shipped on wednesday. We managed to find 2 decent enough pulleys in the workshop so will make do and see how they go. We are going to need some pulleys making to a the same spec for a new balancing machine we are making. If anyone wants to give me a price that would be lovely.

Any new pulleys need not necessarily have circlip grooves in them, collars with grub screws perhaps?

Circlip is much better in a maintenance point of view. It's easier to remove!

IRD decided on circlips and bearings for a very good reason.
