Like a fool (In hingsight) I took on a job I am now massively regretting. This is a brushed Brass Cladding in a shallow U section, 80mm across the long flat and 11mm the leg and the longest length is 2.6Mtr. It's basically a posh cladding for internal use.
Originally these were going to be be laquered to protect and prevent oxidisation, this was all in place only to be let down to a very large degree. Subsequently, all painters appear to be scared of this job. I have now given up wasting my time with painters. It seems they cant paint anything else other than cars!
Affter a few discussions it's been suggested looking modern type coatings like the ceramic coat used on car body work. I have someone experimenting with this at the current time. The problem here is time, which is something i now don't have after having many weeks wasted by the so called 'painter'.
Has anyone every tried this type of coating as an option for brass or any other type of modern coating that will seal and prevent oxidisation?
I have found this product from Eastwood has anyone ever tried this product, can anyone vouch for it? Unfortunaly, I am unable to get hold of the techs at Frost for any proper feed back and more detailed info.
The problem using something new is, knowing if it will stand the test of time, this is where the big issue starts as its a bit of an unknow quantity.
Many thanks in advance.
