Pah, bloody diesels. I'm toying with putting a 2litre turbo petrol into my transhit euro5, might not be as economical, but at least it will allways get driven home...
I really like your van @Danez (except for the purple stripes), when I had a home built CF camper I really wanted a talbot. They did like to rust though...

I had a 2.5di turbo... it was shocking how much nicer they were to drive vs the normal 2.5di - you can put the 130ps injectors in it too if you want more power...

would be an easier fit too?

More relief as it meant no more hot metal globs finding their way down the back of my neck

Don't get me wrong though there's been plenty of naughty words said while working on this rusty french bucket, must be where the term pardon my french comes from

I'm just amazed. I had one of these in the 80's. Went ok and I eventually scrapped it but engine was sound, just rusted liked nobody's business. Had a great time travelling around Scotland and going to festivals down south.

yeah seems they really like to rust and attract many bodge jobs! although if this hadn't had bodge jobs it probably would have been scrapped so a lesser evil i suppose
Can't wait to use it, scotland is on our list of places to go

speaking of which, did a bit more today!
Fitted a captive nut where the old one failed and welded the original one hoping that won't fail now too
cut open the bracket for access and welded it back

Sorted out the rear quarter inner sill

onto the outer sill

Reyt happy with today's progress! need to weld the bottom of the outer sill to the inner sill then it's onto the the rest of the passenger side sills, loving this dry weather

Won't be doing owt tomorrow though as i'm picking up another project.....
