hi all....
finally managed to get the cover off the 100e and get it up on axle stands.....loads of prep work to do before i start cutting out the inner sills and fab new ones both sides......a lot of rot in the normal places....lots of body work to do before any thing else...the joys......

my fathers hilux was pretty much only held together by the paint. just to scrape an mot he bonded cardboard to the inside of the panels, good helping of filler and paint then put it through the test. when he had more time then we cut the rot out, welded good in or used fibreglass for things like the front wings as it was just easier, then sprayed it tvr red

sounds just like my old man....when i do welding for him..i like to look at my work and be happy with what i have done...he dont give a toss what it looks like as long as its stuck....all be it most of it is out of position welding thats a nightmere......

my father likes things done right, but most of the time he likes to get things done quickly until he has the time to do it right.

My old man used whatever came to hand or cheapest, I remember the rear cross member on the Landy having a piece of ¼" plate welded across it.
