Regarding paint, I have found that the brush-on stove paint lasts a lot longer than the spray on stuff


Nice project btw, I have just aquired an empty 19kg bottle that had been fly tipped, would like to make a stove out of it that you can cook on

been at the g/f's for the weekend so not been able to do much, will be getting back to it tomorrow, making the vents and removable ash pan and grate

Im thinking of using the black paint on stove paint as i think you get a far better finish!

I used stove paint on my first one which came off after a few burns and being out in the rain.

I got a can of BBQ Spray plasticote from wilkos which have been on for 4 months and it's still fine.
