Thanks for that link. Makes interest reading. I’ve a feeling that’ll get interpreted by the Lycra clad idiots as more of a free reign to do what they like and it’ll be someone else fault when it goes wrong.
There are two changes that they need to make and won’t. 1, registration plates on bicycles and 2, mandatorily use a cycle lane / path where available. I seem to remember a high ranking officer in Kent police (posit he chief if not an ACC) proposed registration of bicycles and lost her job

In reality as far as the highway code is concerned nothing much has changed, the headdownarseup and crash claim brigade will see it as a license to reek havoc. Instead of brake checking and hoping of a rear end shunt they will be getting their mates to throw themselves off their bikers in front of them
