problems with clarke pro90

Morning all, newbie here so please be gentle.
I have a problem with my pro90 clarke. Wire feed motor has stopped working. I`ve fed the motor direct and it works, so I`m assuming its the pcb. When checking it, I seem to have mislaid the piece of paper with the wire positions (3 brown and 1 blue) Before I buy a new pcb does anyone know which way round they are? I don`t want to blow the new one. Also does anyone know what the small "nipple" on the transformer is called where the brown wire coming from the torch connects to? Think I`ve blown that to.......

Had the same problem with a 90 and a 100, before you condemn the PCB, check the rocker switches on the front of the unit - spent £££'s when a quick clean and a check with a multimeter sorted it out. I too thought the PCB was gone, bypassed PCB, wire feed o.k. - hence 3x Clarke machines, BUT I managed to sell 2 of them

yeah, checked rocker switches, they`re ok....any idea idea on how much a pcb is?

about £45 hats your electronic skills like you can replace any broken bits there all standard parts

ordered pcb, 67 quid....little nipple thing is thermal cut out....not sure if its goosed or not, but helpful man on phone said it could be bypass for testing purposes. The new pcb`s come with 6 wires, so hopefully it`ll come with some form of destructions........

Please post what you find after fitting new PCB,as I would be interested to hear result as I have similar problem with Clarke Pro 90.
I trust Clarke parts Dept.explained different 2 types of PCB available ?

mr Thinphil.....The guy on the phone said there was only one now. He said that there are two terminals that are not used which is more obvious now i have it in my hand than when he described it. These are two that are "offset" away from the main group of four and should be just bridged together.
The problem I now have, before I fit the new pcb is I cant find the bit of paper with the wiring diagram on.......
Looking at the pcb we can see the white multi plug. Going down the left side of the board there are the four "spade" connections. J1, J2, J3 and J4. These have the 3 brown and 1 blue wire attach to them .
blue wire goes to "centre" of 1 / 2 switch
1brown wire goes to "centre" of min / max switch
2brown wire goes to main power switch"under" blue neutral "in"(switched n?)
3brown wire goes to main power switch"under" brown live "in" (switched L?)
If you, or anyone can spare five minutes and look at their pro90 and tell me which way round these little ******s go, I would be very grateful.
I.E. J1=blue, J2=brown min/max...I just dont want to blow up a board that has just cost me 63 quid......

Wiring diagrams.....aren`t they great???? can anyone confirm the folowing?
J1 switched neutral
J2 switched live
J3 1/2 switch
J4 max/min switch
I may get this going tonight........

well that looks like it could be the thick end of 70 quid up the swannie! Fitted pcb, made bridging wire, took great care using wiring diagram from other thread on here to put wires back on in correct order.....and nothing.....Took the advice of the guy on the phone and pulled both wires off thermal cut out and joined them together (temporarily) and still no wire feed......Anyone?????.....I`m not the most competant welder, but talk about feeling low!!!!!!

Finally got my pro 90 working........
I had wired new 6 PIN pcb as follows....
J1 NEUTRAL
J2 LIVE
J3 1/2
J4 MAXMIN.
When you lok at the pro90 wiring diagram its isted as 1 neutral 2 live 3 1/2 4 min max.

WHEN YOU LOOK AT THE MIG 150 WIRING DIAGRAM ITS LISTED AS
J1 MAX MIN
J2 1/2
J3 LIVE
J4 NEUTRAL
JUst wired it up like that and it worked first time......I`m wondering how many people have made that mistake......( and dont forget yr bridging wire from ja to jb. Mine also had another fault...the black wire from the pcb goes under some sheathing which connects a "hard wire" from front to back transformers. That had burnt/rotted away. Pic available if interested....
