Problems with an old Mac Tools Mig

I was recently given an old Mac Tools WS1250 flux combi welder. It wasn't working when i got it, traced problem down to the contact switch in the trigger switch on the lead.

Any one know where I could find a new contact switch or or fit a new lead to it altogether? Don't have the $ to buy a new welder, but wouldn't have a problem putting a new lead on it.

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

You might be able to use one of the Harbor Freight torch leads.
Is it flux core only ?

will do flux core & solid core. right now all i have is flux core wire.

You can get a torch lead from harbor freight with the gas valve in the handle, they cost 25-30 dollars.
It's not a super high quality torch, but they work.
Item #28215 for a 94164 welder.
You might go to the HF web site and look at the pdf for the welder and see if it looks like it would work.

Robert, thanks for your help. I found a factory replacement lead for it, but its a little shorter than I'd like. I'm going to see if I can make one a couple feet longer with the part numbers you gave me. Looks like the harbor freight torch will work.

Edit: item number for the torch came back as not in their listings.. though from the pdf file for the welder number it does look as if it would work.

If you want a metal liner, the one for a miller cricket will fit into the clips they use.

My friend used 2 wires foot switch (pedal) when he came to the same situation. This is the cheapest and releable solution.
