Made a bit more progress with the table. Whats the best way to attach the hinges to the frame?

Big rivets, depending on how heavy the individual doors are?

either as slim has said.. rivets

or weld them on, but not so easy to remove them if needed.
rivets can be drill out fairly easy.

The doors are 1cm mdf they are a very tight fit as i will probably make things worse if i try to trim a little off it will have to do.

best way to trim them down is electric planer.

if you dont have one of them and a router ?
set up a straight edge, set distance from edge and clamp it down.
run router against straight edge to trim the edge neatly.

Even with a straight edge i manage to mess it up.

You realise you run the tool against the straight edge not just scribe a line with it right?

Yep i know how it should be done i always seem to end up not square think i need a new set square or the shop cut straight edge i'm using in not true.

Sorted the table is the perfect size for the router table top i hacked together a while ago just needed to make a fence.

I'd use a router bit like this http://www.mlcswoodworking.com/shopsite_sc/store/html/smarthtml/pages/bt_chamf.html - those are in the US but similar are to be had on the 'Bay. Make the chamfer on the inside of the door(s).

Get one with the small bearing on the end, you just run the edge of your workpiece along against the roller without the need for a straight edge. Mind you, I use a small, adjustable router table so it might be easier for me..... Should also work with your plunge router in the absence of a table - just make sure the door is clamped down securely.

I think i have one of them. After a couple of passes over the router table one door is fitting much better and for once i did not take too much off.

I think the hinges i purchased might not be up to the task. Could i fit a hinge that is adjustable?

you mean like kitchen cupboard hinges ?

you would have to hollow out the circle in the door.

doable with a router or large bit (about 35mm) in drill.

fixing the other part to the frame would be more tricky.

could drill the two holes and tap them.

but depending on the wall thickness of the frame.

Yep id need to weld plates to mount them.

unless you weld threaded inserts into the box.

The box is only 25mm and the doors are flush so that leaves 15mm.

hmm not much to play with but is doable....
but would take a lot longer in time to do
then just welding some plates on as you suggest for better thickness to tap..

Will pick up some new hinges and make some plates.
