What's best to use as a primer on hot formed steel stock with millscale? I give it a quick key/clean with abrasive paper but haven't got the time/equipment to take it all back to bright.
Currently using zinc-rich primer because it isn't clean, but it chips so easily.
I guess regular primer would stick better but concerned it'll lift due to corrosion underneath
Etch primer: bloody expensive in rattle cans, I think it'd suffer similar lifting problems from corrosion?
