Primer filler defect

I painted the front wing ( in primer )and warmed it up first with a fan heater, it went on lovely and has no fault, then painted the door jam without warming it up and bingo, same paint defect. Definately temperature related. If I'm painting over synthetic ? it seems ok if it's warm.
Do you think i'll get away with it?

Not in my opinion, I think it will be back to haunt you.

its just the higher temps flashes off the solvents before it can bite in

yes it will most likely cause problems in the future ..if its a nice car you care about strip it to bare metal on the problem areas

3 no's. i'm sorry youre not going through to the next round.
Im not going to pretend its going to be easy to bare metal it but is the only way to keep that classic looking good. DONT be tempted to use a barrier coat either, should someone suggest it.

Yes they are, not my choise they came with the car, I took the picture last summer then I found this, and ended up doing this

I had this defect appear on a panel I had painted. I tried some basecoat after priming. I saw some areas that I didn't think we're smooth enough. I sanded these down and then used panel degreasant over everything before repriming the sanded areas.
Soon after spraying I got splits in some areas exactly like these. After trying various things i got a piece of advice from my fiancées mums husband. Acetone thinner was what was going to work and it did.
I sanded the panel, blending in all split areas with the good paint. The advice I was given about the acetone was pour a tiny amount on a cloth. Just enough to dampen it. Not soaking wet.
Then I was told to rub it as lightly as possible over all the panel. I did this. Then I left it to dry. I could see it pulled paint away slightly in a few areas so they were now uneven.
I waited for 1/2 an hour or more then I re primed all the panel. The paint held fine everywhere. I have had some small splits since. Each time I get them acetone sorts it out. I swear by the stuff.
