I’m making a cover plate for a mate’s digger:
6mm thick mild steel, 390mm diameter disc. Three bolt holes.
I got a local steel place to supply the disc, with a centre pop in the middle so I could set out and drill the holes myself. It‘s clearly been cut out with lots of straight grinder cuts, so the edge has loads of facets. I could have done that myself. I thought they’d have a flame or plasma cutter with trammel points, at least.
Anyway, £102 for the disc with no holes. Reasonable?
