Preventing flex on L bracket

I am custom mounting an electronic corsa C steering column to my car and have made some L brackets and welded them to the dash support.

When mounted, the motor is pretty solid but if I push the steering wheel up or down there is a bit of flex as the motor is mounted near the end of the L of the bracket.

What is the best way to stiffen it up to stop it from flexing?

Can you triangulate the bracket? Turning the L bracket into a triangle as it were?

As said triangulate or make brackets from angle might be a more suited option how big is bracket and what have you made them from

Brace them so they are now gallows brackets or make them from angle or something thicker.

They are made from 3-4mm thick mild steel bar.

I will give the triangle or gallows style a go.
