Pressure Washer Recommendations?

I’ll see how long the plasticity hose lasts, but I suspect I’ll be going down this road myself at some point.

I tried to register for the extended 5 year warranty today, but the part numbers in their drop down list didn’t match what was on the label, so I used their enquiry form to query this - I got a very pleasant response within and hour which answered my question and duly provided the extended warranty.

Definitely a very positive experience with Customer Services!

I think I still have the longer more flexible hose I rescued from The Screaming Eagle up in the loft somewhere.
If it's worth the carriage you can have it.

Another vote for AVA here , all the spares are listed on the website if you ever needed them , at very reasonable prices . Very good machine in my experience .

Depends what it is, or maybe just lucky. When I worked in the Agri/Plant industry, this was more than twenty years ago, we were Karcher agents. Their tech and repair guys that came to us said that the projected life if the DIY types, was about ten hours solid work.

Wow, definitely had my moneys worth out of my Karcher, it's probably got 300 hrs on it over the last 12yrs or so

It did go through a brief phase where it would buzz when you pulled the trigger, gave the fan blades a nudge with a long screwdriver and it sprung into life

I repaired my Karcher a while back, went to test it out of the case & it was very successful at chopping my fingers about when I caught them in the fan. A trip to the minor injuries unit to patch them up, no lasting damage thankfully.

Well I don't know what they integrated into but my parents bought 37 years ago a pressure washer (Mistral) with a CAT pump in it. Four years ago the electric motor finally died on it so Dad bought a replacement but it wasn't a straight swap.

They ended up buying a complete Mistral unit again and gave me the old washer and new motor. I tacked together some plates to space everything at the right height and created Frank the Frankenwasher. The pump is still going strong and if you've got a FIAT from experience it will punch holes through the doors.

Pump must be good as its lubricated with EP90 . I did treat it last year to its first old change in 37 years. God only knows how many hours it's done but after 2h of continuous use it's only just slightly warm.

I’ve never seen a cat pump with ep90 oil specified but have seen plenty of other pumps that have sae 90 specified on the pump

10w40 on these italian units.

80w90 in the reduction gearbox

It seems to be an iso 68 or sae 20w

and another fixed one that oscillates - not quite sure how useful that will be but time will tell.

Great for revealing and accidentally removing defective clear coat form metallic paint or powder coat from older alloy wheels.

I’m in the market for a pressure washer, budget £400 tops. Don’t mind petrol or electric, but an electrical one would probably be cheaper.

I bought a petrol power washer off ebay many moons ago, had some serious use and still going strong. Lost its newness but still good.
