Pressure washer pump

Evening all,

I am looking for a high pressure pump for a petrol driven washer I have been given, in the range of 2500 / 2750 recon this is what a 5.5 hp Honda engine cope with max. the one that is on it is aluminium and has cracked and died due to frost bite.
There is a guy selling the end caps on fleabay but fancy a good pump with a brass housing anyone know of a decent supplier or have one lying around. Northern tools sell them but a bit pricey by the time I buy the pump lance and hose I would be as cheep buying a new unit. It is the unit with the four bolt holes think 65mm pitch and has a spigot to take a 19mm keyed shaft.
Ta muchly the good weather this week has had me cleaning the decking on the balcony and also the sandstone slabs which was so much easier with the higher pressure than using the Kratcher unit I have. Failing that will use the engine for a buggie for the kids.

The top photo is the offending unit, I got a loan of the one with the brass pump think in the long run it will be a better option the alloy one is too flimsy and has no pressure bypass.

It was a cat pump offered from Northern think around £220 for a 2750 psi unit would prefer to put on something that will last as long as the Honda and they keep on going.

Probably right there, keep on getting badgered to make a start on it so trying to get my one up and running but work is getting in the way. Hopefully get a few days at it in the next few weeks during school holiday period.

realistically you're looking for an interpump to go on a 5hp engine. Around the £280 ish.
That would be summut like a 51 series triplex pump complete with control set (internal bypass). That'll give you 12 litres a min @ 150 bar (2170 psi) all you need extra is an inlet fitting either quick release or bsp threaded.
The shaft on your engine is 3/4 inch dia with a keyway, the pump just bolts on to engine it has a 3/4 hollow shaft and a kinda bell housing to go onto engine.
An 10 metre single strand h/p hose about £40 A lance and gun another £30 plus an 04 nozzle (1.19mm) oriface around £5

Some discount can be got, but these prices are last seasons so only approx

Might be more realistic to look for a similar machine with a blown engine and do a bit of jerr-jiggling

Would that be the 54/57 series http://www.dualpumps.co.uk/pages/plunger_pumps/plunger_subs/interpump_pumps.htm whats the max p.s.i. that can be driven from a 5.5hp engine? Will they deal with joe pubic?

I hadn't cosidered that series, as it's pistons are driven by a swash plate drive, my book shows them around the £180 mark that'll give you 140bar @13 litres a miniute that requires 4.8 horse power

150 bar (2170 psi) is probably max on a petrol engine at 3600 rpm

Motor will be used as a donor for kids buggie just purchased plans for a Taipan from the Edge had the kids stripping out the engine this afternoon probably bad move as all I have had is "when we going to start dad"

Hi thanks for the link gave them a try they recommended a pump lance and hose came to around the £400 mark ex v.a.t. had another look on fleabay and there was a new petrol 2500 psi washer with brass pump delivered to the door £208 plus I get the v.a.t. back so took that option, not using it as a commercial unit so should do fine.
