A lot will depend on how tight/rusted in they are rather than the power of the press, I've had stuff refuse to budge with 40+ ton on it and others virtually fall out with a bit of heat and cold.
For automotive stuff a 20 ton is loads. I've never gone above 8 ton pressing a wheel bearing out. If that kind of pressure doesn't shift it then i run a bead around the inside of the bearing and that always gets it moving.
