I've seen pictures of some that use one horizontal ram that operates a simple system of levers that push the top tooling down. This increased the power due to the mechanical advantage of the levers.

I think they were very big.....a couple of hundred tonnes.

Weve an ol 4' one in the corner about the same price a few years ago. Handy for doing things you shouldn't be doing on it Saves damaging the better ones.

lampost one is interesting l often see those on lorries on the motorway heading from/to galv, nice machines but l cant really see one of them in the garage of my little end terrace house lol

but turn it upside down and put the ram in the middle

yup l was expecting them to drag it of with a forklift truck

Forklift I bet! Nice to see how there made we have loads of short ones we use to separate two layers of the antennas at work

2 plate clamps on 1 end connected to a wire rope winch & pulled onto roller table, then craned away.

Sorry about the delay,am afraid have got no pictures, normally use both jacks at the same time with one arm working each about 3 ft apart.The strange thing is with thin metal you have to use 2 jacks or one side goes before the other.
