Complete beginner here - just picked up an AHP 201xd TIG welder. Main application is aluminium. My question is regarding tungsten electrodes. I've picked up a set of 10: 5 are 1/16" and 5 are 3/32". I am aware of how they should be ground on the ends, but I'm not sure how long they should be? If accessibility of the torch is not a concern (just practicing), then what's the most efficient way to cut these up when starting out? Presumably making lots of short pieces with both ends ground to a cone? I imagine it can get frustrating having the constantly re-grind, so I was thinking of making a batch in advance. Cheers.
