My first car was a Tartan Red Clubman. I learned soo much from that car the biggest thing? the impotance of learning to weld( though the best you could hope for in those days as a HomeGamer was a buzzbox)

Mine was a Teal blue Clubman Estate, I cringe recalling welding sills over the rotten old sills (by gas). Though replacing the rear subframe on short axle stands and that wee coolant hose to the head were character building.

I was given a Mini 1000 automatic with a broken bonded engine mount I temporarily welded (with much smoke) and Mot'd sub £15 in other bits. I really liked the gearbox, it would go into top after what seemed like 15ft and you could play tunes with it on the kickdown as it would go straight back up the box. I had a lot of fun in it and sold it to a girl who needed a cheap car.
A few weeks later I found her and the car sat at a set of lights in a cloud of steam so I towed her home. I had a look and it was low on oil and no water, I doubt the bonnet had been up since I sold it but I coaxed it back into life even though the head gasket had gone. By this time she was relaying threats from her boyfriend who was in the house about giving her the money back for the dodgy car I sold her. I suggested he come out and see me face to face instead of hiding behind her skirt and packed all my stuff away, waited a bit then went and knocked expecting Mr.Angry and a fat lip. I actually laughed when this scrawny little scrote opened the door with her behind him!

Hmmm... I don't want to come across as a cheapskate (and it's not a ton of money) but I'd been paying $1 a month to Patreon for Binky. Just logged in to watch tonight's episode and got presented with a page looking for £2.40 (or £4.40) a month.
That seems a pretty steep hike, and I'm surprised the guys didn't put a post up saying they were increasing their prices.

Did any other patreons get a price increase this month?

I'm torn as I know this is how the guys make their money, but a 240% increase with no notice or information (unless I missed it) seems a bit off.

I can't believe it is going to be a rally car. Far too much effort gone into the finish for that sort of treatment!

It's not. It's not compliant with MSA regs, they'd never get it log booked. They have repeatedly stated, it's a road car.

That's the nasty/nice bit, reassembly without damaging anything. Then undoing hours of work as you messed up the assembly procedure or something doesn’t fit now there's a layer of paint!

A couple of my bike and car projects I put them on the road to iron out any bugs then pulled them apart to paint them.

All that seam sealing finickiness going on but what about the back of all those stand off brackets and areas the spray gun can't ever get at?

There must still be loads of un painted areas out of sight.

They weld through primed everything, I wouldn't be worried
