Been playing with my new plasma cutter. Getting along okay and understand the obvious i.e. the thicker the metal you want to cut then the higher you need to crank up the power. But, look at this the other way round, ... the thinner the metal then the less power needed to cut. Why? Why not just have the thing cranked up to its limit all of the time? if it will cut half inch at full chat then it will also cut quarter inch. Or is there a reason I should match the power to the metal thickness?
