The old blades can make good chisels too.

ummm they make good scrapers but not chissels there hss one hit with a hammer and they shatter

I've used one before as a very thin chisel just to separate a few parts, so not hitting it too hard, good scrapers too though.

ohh rite thought u meant wood chisel

Lol, no not quite, should have clarified it. This was more for splitting sheets apart that had been spot welded after drilling some of the spots out.

Another vote for put a new blade in, a five pack of eclipse blades will probably outlast you unless you spend most of your time cutting work hardened stainless, then see if it cuts straight.
Nobody ever buys new blades for them, because they still cut even when theyre blunt, until finally it gets so bad they decide its slow and replace it with a clarke bandsaw...
My donkey saw is knackered, it has play all over the show, the overarm bush is loose, it has a thunk every stroke from something loose but every time I go to take it apart I need it for something else so I just pump grease in all the bushings and ignore the thunk noise a bit longer. But, it does cut straight. It made cuts like it was steered with a ouiji board when I first got it, and a new blade sorted it right out. I nip my blades up quite tight, probably about the same as I would do in a rigid hand hacksaw frame, twang the blade till it sounds right...
