I need to run a welder from a 2.4 KVA generator. What's the largest amperage welder I can buy which will run from this? Thanks

You won't run any welder at all from a genny that small. Double the size of it to run even the smallest welder.

In any case, 2.4KvA won't power much. 5KvA is about the minimum to ensure no damage is caused.

2.9KvA is about 80 amps on a 140 MMA welding inverter
