I've been planning my powder coating oven build over the past 6 months and it's been more urgent as I've given my current powder coater £350 over the past 6 weeks!!!
Basically the design is 7ft wide, 3ft deep and 4ft high (internal) measurements with 4 x 2kw heating elements...
So I started with some steel I had around my unit
Started with the base first and this is where my corner clamps and laser cut fab table come into their own....
All finished (or so I thought!!!) The base legs have been manufactured 3" in as this is where the outside wall will be as I'm putting a frame on the inside to hold my work. This will then send the load through the inner holding frame directly through to the base legs to the floor....
Base modified (after galvanising :-/ ) by adding 2 extra supports between elements 1/2 and 3/4 and 20mm nuts welded on each leg to give adjustable feet.
The laser cut oven base - which shouldn't warp as its all 2mm thick
Element trays being installed with one of my best purchases.... An air pop-riveter!!
One of the sides (1.2mm galvanised sheet) with the attention to detail on the corner and I had a line etched on each wall so the Z supports were all installed in the correct place...
To be continued......
