I have a new 3 speed hub I want to build into a wheel for my foul weather bike, it was my commuter fixed gear bike, but I'm retired now so don't commute anymore. My knees object on hills now on my fixie, so that's the reason for a geared hub!
Anyway the new hub is silver (not available in black) and I would like it gloss black to match the front.
It's currently brand new and anodised silver.
I've seen on YouTube powder Coaters applying the powder straight over the anodising with no prep. Is this acceptable?
Should I drop it in at a local powder Coaters or find someone to spray epoxy primer and 2k gloss black?
