Reindeer herd ( gently driven over three or four days ) herding along high soft small mesh 3 mtr high net fences ending up in a wooden funnel that goes into high screen hurdles making a snail shell type spiral that has various block off & access gates seems to work in Finland .
Would it work in the UK in close woodland ?

Hunting with dogs

In nearby NY state I hear they are nutz (the hunters).
A friend was walking thru the woods at 4:00 am to get to his tree stand (pitch black dark out)
and people start shooting....he had to just lay on the ground.
I used to hear the saying "If it's brown, it's down" allot from hunters up there.

It's true,the only wild Reindyr are in Norway as far as Europe is concerned.
You get tamrein ( tame reindyr) in Sweden Finland and Finnmark in Norway. But the only flocks of Reindyr in Europe that have never been farmed are in Norway.

I still keep in touch with the American medic off my old ship years ago, she lives in Kentucky and she sent me this pic last week. Her sons hunt, for food, as well as for sport. I don't approve of hunting for the 'fun' of it, but I eat meat so I'm a pretty normal hypocrite.
But, they will use every usable part of this moose, weighing in at 1500lbs, and when it's all processed, cure, pickled, dried etc it will provide meat for a year.
