Posting photos (and an avatar) How?

Dear All,
I have absolutely no doubt this has been covered umpteen times and there's probably instructions on the Forum for posting photos and an avatar somewhere. But, I've tried to find the instructions for about 2 months without success (obviously).
I am also pretty useless with computery stuff so any assistance would be gratefully received, and I promise not to ask any more daft questions ('til the next time!) Please don't all shout at me at once.

Hi Eric , the posting photos is the very easy bit ...the way I do it ..select the photo from your photo files and drag and drop it on your desk top , then write your post and drag and drop the photo into your post.( Like this) you get a choice between "Thumbnail "or "Full image", I tend to use Thumbnail 'cos it saves a bit of bandwidth ... .then click on "post reply"

Thanks for such a prompt reply I shall give it a go .

On another matter we go to Maleme every year for the Battle of Crete commemoration is that anywhere near you?

The Avatar bit is fairly easy ...first check that you are signed in , then in the blue bar at the top of the page on the right hand side it will say ...(.in your case ) Eric the chicken Inbox Alerts hoverover your user name and a box will appear with a Avatar option in the menu ..click on that and drag and drop the photo you want into the box and bingo it's done ...hope this helps ....

Another way to add photos is to simply press the 'upload a file' button at the bottom of the box you are typing in, select from your pc the photo you want and upload it, you will get the option to add it to your message, it goes wherever the cursor is flashing in the message, usually of course after the last typed word.

Maleme is the other end of Crete from me .. I have been there a few years ago...
