posting/delivering a welder

hi,

i've seen a welder i'm interested in but it's about 400 miles away!

Has anyone posted a welder before? If so, who did you use and what was the cost? Shiply.com want around £90 but seems alot as have had engines delivered on a pallet for around £60.

When buying a welder online, how can they charge £6.95 etc delivery charge?!

depending on weight/size try tnt etc i had a buz box sent to me from a mate in cornwall for only £20

Regarding the £6.95 shipping cost by on-line companies, it is if our experience is anything to go by, a subsidised charge but it does depend on weight & to an extent overall dimensions. We have a deal with UPS which charges a flat rate up to 30Kgs so most inverter based machines are quite reasonable to ship. Large items even if they don't weigh too much trigger a volumetric charge, an example of this would be a trolley. Over 30Kgs & UPS start charging more so we will look at Paisley Freight to check their rates.

well i managed to get a 50kg welder delivered on a next day service for £30 via paisleyfreight, no faults with their service at all
