Apart from the usual choc and mince pies I haven't seen any good sales deals so far.

Aldi had joints if beef coming up at 50% of despite being 2 days prior to sell by date . This was the day before Xmas eve.
Went in today to get some frozen peas and pork was marked up 30% off.
So was Mince.
But not all of them so I asked the lads on self checkout and they explained if it had a label on they would take 30% off but if we found anything with 28th on that would be 50% off
But it was easy to just put things through with 28th and 29th on it and them not see it..... so we checked all our stuff and saved an extra 25 quid.

I can remember going to the turkey auctions at the local mart. Sadly just a distant memory now but thats where everyone from far and wide went for their turkey no plastic wrapping in sight.

They still do that at Hexham mart I think. We buy off the farm meat, not much cheaper, but always better quality. Long horn beef espescially!

It's branded as Mac Allister and looks like an older GYS machine. 160amp arc inverter - it is currently £100 but 25% off with code WAREHOUSE25 I've taken a chance on it at £75 and ordered one - a few still left if anyone else is interested. I'm not sure about the claim that the manufacturer warranty is still valid but since Mac Allister are B&Q own brand I think it should be of reasonable quality and on a par with the Lidl type offerings.

I’d have struggled to reason that it’s worth £17!! A bargain compared to £80 for certain- but flipping expensive nonetheless.

I've never understood the big 'turkey' thing at xmas, its always seemed be like a big chicken, but fairly dry and awkward to swallow, is a drama to cook, and costs far more.

We got ours from our local butcheress as a Christmas pack special and good to know it was a lot cheaper than Tesco.

I bought a new spray gun from a seller on ebay. Kind of a Christmas special; I messaged the guy and he knocked £25 off for Christmas and in total 35% off the RRP so well happy.

I haven't done a turkey for years, but a free range crown, ready to go in the oven covered in bacon to keep it moist for stupid money was too go to miss. The only thing I miss about the turkey roast was the stuffings I used to make. Sausage and celery and sausage, chestnut and orange from a Delia recipe and cooked separately from the turkey to stop it going gooey.
