Hi I am interested in a portamig single phase and would like to p/x my castillon industrial single phase it is old but works perfectly comes with handbook and castillon are very helpful and still managed to supply me parts for it as there were a couple of bodges be replaced by proper stuff from them as they think that it is unlikely they will get any more so what they have left is reasonably priced as they are now only making newer models but they also say all the parts if it ever needed are available from there source who originally supplied them while they were a current model I will post pic if there is any interest which is why I fancy a portamig any suggestions of a deal even not working as long as i can check fault before committing thanks Chris

And breathe ! Putting your Castillon up for sale and use the proceeds towards a Portamig would be one course of action Chris. Personally I never heard of Castillon and even though I have nothing to gain I would like to see one in pictures.

Maybe you think seems a silly question on the face of it, but why change?
In general the technology in Transformer based machines is more than 50 yrs old!
The quality of the parts used back then were generally better than whats widely available today, so apart from a shinier box what will you be gaining?
